Our Mission
Enterprise Washington operates to empower Washington’s private sector to become engaged in our political process through the delivery of smart politics for business.
2008 Strategic Objectives
- Intelligence Gathering: Understanding Washington’s dynamic political landscape is the foundation of our work. Through non partisan research and survey work, we are able to help offer credible and accurate assessments of opportunities as well as challenges that Washington’s private sector community needs to be aware of. Utilizing our relationships with other business organizations across the state including local chambers, Association of Washington Business, WA Roundtable, WashAce, Washington Research Council and private industry associations, it is our goal to build a more educated and involved private sector community in our political arena. Our action items include:
- Legislative district survey work
- Chamber & business coalition outreach
- Election & fundraising analysis
- Website communication & education through the GROW Program for the purpose of growing the grassroots of politically educated and engaged business people. Our action items include:
- Business Stars luncheon & awards
- Public policy regional briefings
- Candidate Recruitment: Having private sector leadership serving in public office strengthens Washington State. What’s good for Washington State is good for business and we need Democrats and Republicans who are advocates for the private sector. Some of our efforts include:
- Business candidate identification
- Statewide candidate recruitment
- Political Action: Enterprise Washington members have the ability to participate in political activity through its separate political committee, Enterprise Washington’s JobsPAC. Political activity through Enterprise Washington's JobsPAC include:
- Strategic field operations
- Campaign action & independent expenditures
