The Competition - What They Do

Washington's business community understands that the issues our elected officials navigate do not clearly cut along party lines. As such, both Democrats and Republicans are supported for their innovative ideas by the business community.

In contrast, "the competition" is much more targeted in their political support. These entities have succeeded in attracting the support of elected officials and the grassroots community by funding a winning strategy of political action. They shower resources on individual lawmakers and candidates who traditionally vote in opposition to issues important to business. In addition, they strongly fund outreach & education in the community to lobby support for their issues. Use the following financial analysis to better understand how these special interests work to oppose private business in Washington State's political arena.

Enterprise Washington has evaluated the fundraising and spending habits of the following organizations. Click on the links below to view detailed summaries of how these entities raise funds, and how they spend their money on political action. Those without links will be coming soon.
